What it does

BokOPDS is an open-source OPDS client for supported Kobo e-readers. OPDS is a standard for browsing ebook catalogs. BokOPDS supports OPDS 1 Atom and OPDS 2 JSON catalogs.

Browse and search
Add a catalog, browse its sections, move between pages, and search for books.
Keep catalog places
Bookmark any catalog page and return to the same place later.
Download books
Download one book or select several across pages, then add them to the built-in library.
Comfortable on an e-reader
Large tap targets, page buttons, cancellable downloads, sleep support, and English and Russian keyboards.

Check your model and firmware

Install

Back up important books and settings, then charge the reader before installing.

  1. Check compatibility

    Find your exact model and firmware in the supported-device table.

  2. Copy the release archive

    Download KoboRoot.tgz from the latest release and copy it into the reader's .kobo folder.

  3. Eject and restart

    Safely eject the reader and let it restart. BokOPDS will appear in the standard home navigation.
